How Inquiries Work
When you submit an inquiry through a vendor's listing, it's delivered directly to that vendor. Most vendors respond within one business day.
Your initial exchange happens through a private email relay. We monitor this first exchange to ensure you're connected with a vendor who is responsive and actively accepting new clients. This protects you from waiting on vendors who may no longer be in business or aren't checking inquiries.
After the vendor responds, conversations often move to direct channels — the vendor may share their personal email, phone number, or preferred communication method so you can continue planning together.
Secure Communication
During the initial exchange, neither you nor the vendor sees the other's personal email. Each party communicates through a unique masked address (e.g.,vendor-abc123@weddingpetservices.com). If the vendor replies, you'll receive their message from that masked address — you can reply directly to continue the conversation.
This isn't meant to create a barrier. It's a brief verification step that lets us confirm the vendor is active and responsive before connecting you directly. Once that's confirmed, you're free to communicate however you prefer.
Response Times
We track vendor response times across all inquiries routed through our platform. This data helps us:
- Show estimated response times on vendor listings so you can set expectations.
- Identify vendors who may no longer be active or accepting new clients.
- Prioritize responsive vendors in directory placement and recommendations.
If a vendor hasn't responded after a few days, we may follow up with suggestions for other providers in your area.
Your Privacy
Your inquiry details (name, email, wedding date, message, and any other fields you fill in) are shared only with the vendor you contact. We never sell, share, or distribute your information to third parties, advertisers, or other vendors.
Messages exchanged through our email relay are logged for quality assurance and dispute resolution. We do not read messages unless investigating a reported issue.
